You might know Tehdi'a if...
You Were His Healer: Tehd has a rough history with healers. In the past they've made healing his injuries and providing him with care conditional based on his behavior, loyalty, and even his choices in partners; every time things have gotten bad, he's left them behind. Some probably meant well, and others could've been misinterpreted or overshadowed by other things going on at the time (given that he's a paranoid bastard), but this could be a fun angle to come at things from.
You Hang Around the Lane: Tehd's well-known around Pearl Lane, as it's where all the cool kids go. He's been seen interacting with many of the Lane's other fixtures, and knows many of them well; some even say he's the one to ask if you need information on any of its more noteworthy citizens. So far, he has yet to start charging for it.
You Spotted Him At the Songbird: He did a couple months' worth of a stint as a dancer at a night club. It was a decently well-paid gig, but in the end it didn't agree with his health issues and they kind of retooled themselves to not be a place for paid erotic dances anyway. He may still give a lapdance if pressed.
You Knew Tehe'wo: Tehe'wo Moui was once his mentor both in thaumaturgy and in most other things. He was undoubtedly spotted hanging around the man's estate and generally making a nuisance of himself way back when, so if you knew the guy, feel free to bring that up.
You're associated with the Brass Blades: His face ended up on a wanted poster for freezing a corrupt Blade's feet to the ground once. The charges were dropped when he subsequently reported said corruption; said Blade has mostly forgiven him for this.
You Knew the Aegis Mercenary Company (AM-RP/EM-RP before they blew up): Aegis treated Tehd well for the few moons he spent running with them. But between the rebranding and his own personal issues, they ended up parting ways a while back. He's still on good terms with former members for the most part, though.
You Know Kita Wolvesbane: One of Tehd's former lovers, Kita and Tehd thought they'd grow old together. Unfortunately, a rift formed between them that wasn't so easy to mend, and no amount of effort on either of their parts was going to get the other to budge an ilm. Bringing this up might get you glared at by the Tehd, but it's definitely a way to say that you know him.
Connections
Yahto Whalaqee: Once a lover, now a very dear and trusted friend, Tehd values Yahto's counsel highly. Especially in magical matters.
Dastev Enoch: Another of Tehd's mage friends. He trusts Dastev's knowledge of aetherology and anything having to do with the lifestream more than most Eorzean sources.
J'aziha Nightsong: One of Tehd's oldest and closest friends, and his favorite bard.
Tristan Solianteaux: Another old friend, except this one paid the up-front cost for Tehd's house. It pays to know an old pirate sometimes.
Finch Lloyd: He found Finch in a dumpster and now they're practically brothers. He's both proud of Finch's accomplishments and almost unfailingly supportive of whatever the former Blade wants to try. Whether this helps is up for debate.
Mholi Panipahr: Tehd's relationship with Molly can best be described as "he bit someone once for upsetting her." Unfortunately, they had a falling out a while back, but it was never for lack of caring.
Frey Underbridge: Paranoia buddies! Tehd likes to consider Frey a friend, though he doesn't know if they share the sentiment.
Nikklaus Shadecross: This one's complicated. Tehd was friends with his brother or something. Said brother ran off to be happy with his wife. Tehd's still not sure what to make of "the real Nikk", but he's trying to keep things friendly.
Ithil Shadecross: The one Tehd was actually friends with. Little guy's kind of always carried a torch for the dadcat, but unfortunately Ithil's straight. This does not stop Tehd from basically being ride-or-die anyway, however, since this is what happens when you befriend a gremlin. He would defend Ithil's and Mina's kids to the death.
Killian Fisher: An explosives expert that Tehd has come to see as a solid friend and shoulder to lean on. He trusts Killian implicitly, and would probably go to great lengths to defend him.
Akhutai Khatayin:One of Tehd's former partners, this grumpy Xaela dad was always willing to offer him a warm spot to snuggle up against, and Tehd was more than happy to tell anyone who would listen about the big guy's accomplishments. Unfortunately, they haven't spoken since he split with Kita.Kita Wolvesbane:Kita used to be Tehd's floofer. Whatever that means. Regardless of what they called each other, Tehd used to hold the fox in high regard.Chi Han:Now a former partner instead of a current one. Chi's at least trying to be a good sport about it, however.

I've been RPing for a while, y'all. IC =/= OOC, any RP is fine as long as it's in-character and everyone's boundaries are respected, and everyone has a right to veto something they don't like. Teddy isn't for everyone, but he's a blast to write and to play, and it's my hope that other people will find his uncharismatic ass at least half as entertaining as I do.
